White Weathered Hutch: 11/15/12

Ticking fabric that is......

Red and white...........

Had some left over from another project and thought I would make a few napkins.

Now are they not the cutest!!

This is what you will need:

fabric of your choice
thread
sewing machine
scissors
iron

First I cut 4 14" x 21" for the body of the napkin

then I cut 4 4 1/2 " x 20" for the ruffle. As you can see I have my ruffle stripes gong horizontal.

Now back to the body.

Turn over and sew all four sides to make a
clean edge. I used a quarter inch seam.

Press, press, press. Your body should now measure 13" x 20 1/12"

Now make your ruffle

Sew the same as the body folding over your fabric to finish the long edge. Sew sides the same way.

take your 4 1/2 " x 20 " and sew two rows across the top . This is where you will gather your top

by pulling on these two threads. Gather to measure to 23"

Now you are ready to fray the bottom edge. Start by pulling out threads till it measures 1/2"
